Amira Obeid
Quran and Tajweed Teacher
Personal Introduction
I am Amira Obeid, a Quran and Tajweed teacher. For the past year, I have worked with an academy teaching children from diverse backgrounds, which has provided me with valuable experience in understanding children’s needs and tailoring my teaching methods accordingly.
I am deeply committed to building positive relationships with my students and feel a great sense of responsibility, knowing that their connection to the Quran is often shaped by the impressions I leave on them.
I utilize tools such as Canva and PowerPoint to create engaging content, and I incorporate interactive games to assess their comprehension of lessons. I have completed a course on how to work effectively with children, which has been further strengthened by my hands-on teaching experience.
Additionally, I have taken specialized courses in teaching Quran, Noor Al-Bayan, and Tajweed for non-Arabs. My English proficiency is excellent due to my studies in the English Department, and I am passionate about Islamic studies. I am in my final year of the Structured Curriculum Program, and I am also studying with ZAD Academy to learn methods tailored for English-speaking students.
I am highly punctual, patient with children, and focus deeply on both the educational and psychological outcomes of my sessions.
Regarding the Quran, I am currently reading under the supervision of an Ijazah in the narrations of Shu’bah and Hafs ‘an Asim. I have also taught theoretical Tajweed as part of a voluntary initiative, working with women and girls of various ages. This course successfully met its objectives.
I am highly enthusiastic about continuous learning and development, and I aspire to grow further in this field with Allah’s help.
